Shipping, Export & Regulatory Compliance Policy

Due to the strictly regulated nature of gemstone exports from Sri Lanka, our fulfillment timeline differs from standard e-commerce platforms.

1

Mandatory National Gem & Jewellery Authority (NGJA) Inspection

By Sri Lankan law, gemstones cannot be directly shipped via commercial couriers without state vetting. Every sold gemstone must undergo the following official export procedure:

  • Vetting & Valuation: The physical stone is presented to the NGJA Export Division and Sri Lanka Customs for quality and authenticity verification.
  • Official Sealing: Upon approval, the gemstone is placed in a secure, tamper-proof package officially sealed by state customs officers.
  • Handling Time: This regulatory process takes between three (3) to five (5) business days from the date of payment confirmation.
2

Insured Logistics & Delivery

Once officially sealed, shipments are dispatched via specialized secure couriers (such as Malca-Amit, DHL Express, or FedEx Insured Shipping).

  • All shipments are 100% fully insured during transit.
  • International delivery typically takes 5 to 7 business days post-handover to the courier.
  • The buyer is solely responsible for any import duties, customs taxes, or VAT applicable in their destination country.
